The Beautiful Island of Phuket

phuket-islandThailand is one of the most beautiful countries in the South East Asia. It has so many beautiful places that many tourist would love to visit. It has so many islands. One of the islands is the Phuket. This is the Thailand’s largest island. The Thailand’s governments build a bridge to make a connection to the mainland of the Thailand.

The Phuket has so many beautiful beaches that surely would attract many tourists. There are so many beautiful beaches such as the Hat Patong. It’s only 15 kilometers from the town. This is one of the most developed beaches in this island. It has so many excellent places to have some fun such as the sport courts, shopping stores, and many other recreational options for the tourists. For some tourists who want to have some water sport activities, there are many things that they could do such as snorkeling, windsurfing and many other water activities.

That wasn’t the only beach that many tourists could visit in Phuket. There are still many other beaches such as the Laem Prhomthep, Hat Karon, View Point and many other beaches. These beaches are absolutely beautiful. For some tourists, this is definitely the best places to have some fun.

Phuket movie seduces Korean couples

A short film about Phuket to be shown on flights from South Korea into Phuket will also air at the Busan International Film Festival 2009 on 8 – 16 October.

The half-hour film ‘Phuket’ centers on gorgeous Korean superstar Im-SooJung and her attempted break from fame which sees her visit Phuket to try and recapture the peace and relaxation she once enjoyed when she came as a young girl.

She stays at a quiet hotel near to Mai Khao beach and is chauffeured around by Thai hunk Sorrapong Chatree, who ends up showing her more than just the local sights.It is hoped that ‘Phuket’ will act as a travel guideline for tourists and help to promote Phuket culture and tourism. Deputy Secretary of the Prime Minister, Khun Aunchalee Wanich Theppabutr said, “The short film ‘Phuket’ is another way to tell people what Phuket is like.”

The decision to cast popular Korean beauty Im-SooJung in the role is not just a co-incidence.

Although the tourism industry has slowed considerably in recent years, the flow of visitors from South Korea has remained constant. Last year, there were 138,292 tourists from Korea. It is hoped that Korean ‘Honeymoon couples’ will be inspired to visit Phuket after they have seen the film.

Khun SomBoon Jirayus, President of Phuket Tourist Association is confident that the film will be one further step to improving tourism on the island.

Sorrapong Chatree said he enjoyed the shoot, and said, “People are lucky to have been born in such a wonderful place as Phuket. It is a blessing from God.”
Hopefully the movie will be a blessing for the tourism industry.

Phuket Party Time

phuket1There has been a rapid change in the nightlife of Phuket. It has grown up very fast in the recent times with the increase of clubs, pubs, DJs and bars. Phuket’s nightlife is turning out to be the best holiday spot to spend on especially during the nights. With the increases in the flow of tourists to this place, local people have worked hard to improve the night life and now, it is grown to such an extent that people even visit this place for it’s night life.

It would be always great if you come here along with your friends or in a group so you can enjoy the maximum of the nightlife here in Phuket. Come in a group, choose a club, get a whiskey bottle, drink, dance, scream and have fun. The time would surely pass 1am with all this and you end up partying great and loads of fun.

In Phuket, most of the clubs offer local music and are little westernized. The bands here play Thai indie music and with a mix of westernized music often. People will generally have a great time at any of these bands. Most local music bands compete with each other to grab the attraction of visitors on the streets. After couple of hours, the bands take a leave and then enter the DJ groups with smacking hip hop and techno.

Timberhut is a very popular club in Phuket. Never expect to get your place here on a late night especially during weekends. This club is highly crowded mst of the times. The band here is popular for it’s refined music that you can never hear at any other clubs. Most of the students love KorTorMor, which is bigger and a better club.

One more decent, little packed with people is the Oasis. This place is not overcrowded and can give you the feel of a home with standard music. Music Matter is another popular bar with its peaceful and quiet bar environment in the Phuket town.

There are many number of go-go bars, beer bars and brothels in the Phuket town. Most of this go open till the late nights. These bars would definitely give a surprise to any Western tourist. Do you want to hang around the Thai bar girls while having a beer? Then you need to head your way to the Patong, which is at a little distance form the Phuket town.
