U.S. condemns Thai Protesters

United States Wednesday urged Thai protest leaders to rein in their supporters when the country condemned the wave of arson attacks and riots in Bangkok.

Washington was “very concerned that the supporters of` Red `T-Shirt has been burning houses, attacking the electricity infrastructure and media outlets and individual journalists attacked,” said State Department spokesman Gordon Duguid.

“And we condemn such behavior and asked the leaders (of protest) and opposition-affiliated politicians to urge their supporters to stop the action,” he told reporters in Washington. Post tribute to Seminyak. Private villas in Seminyak Bali

Libya, Thailand Chosen to be UN Human Rights Council Members

Libya and Thailand are among 14 nations elected as new members of the UN Human Rights Council,  in the selection of human rights advocates criticized as being uncompetitive and “immature.”

Angola, Mauritania, Uganda, Maldives, Malaysia, Qatar, Moldova, Poland, Ecuador, Guatemala, Spain and Switzerland also elected by the General Assembly for a term of three years on the council which has 47 member states. Human Rights Council based in Geneva.
